It was after his grandmother passed that photographer Ari Seth Cohen moved to New York City. He had always been energized by her positive attitude about aging, and found himself inspired by the women of-a-certain-age he encountered on the streets of New York. Stirred by the memory of his grandmother and the boldness of the style worn by these women, Ari directed his photography toward documenting the everyday fashion of older women and men.
Ari posts his photography on his blog, Advanced Style. In a post, Ari explains, “I noticed a lack of older people in fashion campaigns and street style sites. I wanted to show that you can be stylish, creative and vital at any age.”
