Monika N. Burrell, has been an attorney with the firm for almost ten years. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science at Madonna University and graduated with Honors before she pursued her dream of attending law school. Staying on top of the law is important to her, which is why Monika regularly attends educational seminars to increase her legal knowledge and experience to provide her clients cutting edge legal advice. Her focus is on estate planning (wills, trusts, powers of attorney), elder law, and Medicaid planning. Monika works with families to help protect assets and get them qualified for Medicaid while they are in a nursing home.
Monika is a graduate of the Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Prior to joining Matecun, Thomas & Olson PC, Monika worked full time at the 53rd District Court in Howell as a civil clerk while attending law school.
When Monika is not working, she enjoys going out to dinner with her husband at new restaurants and finding new albums to add to her record collection.
