Neigh Neigh the Clydesdale horse meets a nursing home resident Many nursing homes offer something known as “pet therapy,” where animals, usually dogs and cats, are brought into the home to visit with the residents. But recently, one senior living community in Michigan has taken pet therapy to a much larger level.

The Village of East Harbor Senior Living Community welcomed Neigh Neigh the Clydesdale to walk the halls of their facility, and meet face-to-face with residents. The unusual visit brought residents out of their rooms and joy to the community as they were able to meet and pet the massive, affectionate horse. Because she was inside the building, Neigh Neigh could even nuzzle with residents with limited mobility who otherwise wouldn’t be able to visit her outside.
