Furry Tales is a program put on by the Stepney City Farm, home to guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, and ferrets. The program provides a weekly “animal-assisted-activities” social club at the farm for anyone who lives in the city and happens to be over 65. For people who can’t make it out to the farm, they also deliver two  “outreach” packages to local care facilities.

The goal of the program is to bring happiness and comfort to people who might feel lonely, bored, or simply love animals but don’t get to see them often because they live in a care home or in the big city.

Watch the video above to see just how much joy a small animal can bring, or visit the program’s page here to learn more.
